National Reform Association ==>Press Releases ==>NRA NEWS April 2001 - OPERATION POTOMAC III "EXECUTIVE DOOR"
Rev. Jeffrey A. Ziegler
President
On Wednesday April 25, "Team NRA" returns to the nations capitol. This foray begins in earnest as we meet with representatives of Attorney General John Ashcroft at the Department of Justice. Then it is on to House Majority Whip Rep. Tom Delay (R) of Texas as we continue to plan with his office for a NRA sponsored biblical worldview seminar to be held on Capitol Hill. We return to visit Rep. Steve LaTourette (R) of Ohio to ask his assistance in setting up a NRA field trip for high school age students. We will also meet with Rep. Pat Tiberi (R) of Ohio ( erstwhile cohort of Rep. Ron Young while in the Ohio House ) who is in his first term as a U.S. Congressman. Rep. Mark Souder (R) of Indiana is also on our list to visit and we'll be meeting with Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert at the end of the day. Additionally, we'll follow up on our previous appointments conducted over the past year.
However, the main goal of the present trip is to open discussions between the White House and The National Reform Association. Toward this end we will meet for one hour with communication and liaison staff for President Bush. Our preliminary talks have gone very well and we hope to see an ongoing relationship developed wherein our NRA material will have free course in this administration.
Our team will include Rev. Jeffrey A. Ziegler, President NRA, Cleveland, OH; NRA Board Member Rev. Phillip L. Vollman and NRA Board Member Gary Humble, also of Cleveland, OH. Additionally, Rev. William Einwechter, the Editor of The National Reform Association's premier periodical "The Christian Statesman" will be joining us from PA; and Rev. Thom Beresford from FL.
Your continued prayers are most welcome and appreciated
