The NRA and Americans United for Separation

The mission and work of the National Reform Association was the focus of an article in the October 2001 issue of Church & State which is published by Americans United for Separation of Church and State. The article, Operation Potomac by Rob Boston, was based on an extensive interview with NRA President Jeffrey Ziegler and highlighted the NRA's theocratic vision for politics and our 2000-2001 trips to Washington, D.C. to explain the NRA's principles of Christian civil government to our nation's leaders. Also included in this issue of Church & State was a brief history of the National Reform Association. Boston's article, to put it mildly, shows that the liberal Americans United for Separation of Church and State is not pleased with the Christian principles of civil government espoused by the NRA or with our recent efforts aimed at reintroducing the NRA into the American political scene.

Annual Board Meeting

The annual Board meeting of the National Reform Association was held on November 9, 2001 at Geneva College, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. At the meeting Bernard Kromer was chosen to serve on the Board of Directors and Howard Phillips and Rod Martin were added to the Board of Advisors. The following were re-elected to the executive Board: Jeffrey Ziegler, president; William Einwechter, vice president; Daniel Herrick, recording secretary; and William Gould, treasurer.
